Linda Lowen is a Syracuse-based writer, editor, book and theater reviewer. Her first Syracuse book, 100 Things to Do in Syracuse Before You Die, was the first travel and tourism guidebook to focus exclusively on Syracuse, New York. Her second Syracuse book, Secret Syracuse: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure, covers both present-day attractions and oddball historic details of Syracuse’s unexpected, illustrious, and fascinating past.

A former award-winning radio/television producer and talk show host, she’s been investigating and sharing the stories of Central New Yorkers for over 25 years. 

Her nonfiction work has been published in the New York Times, Publishers Weekly and The Writer magazines, and in the anthology Tiny Love Stories: True Tales of Love in 100 Words or Less (Artisan 2020).
